The qigong movements will be easy to follow, whatever your level of flexibility or fitness.
They provide an effective way to get your blood flowing through the soft tissues of your body, while improving your breathing.
What’s more, qigong develops an awareness of the energetic channels (meridians/nādi) in the body.
The seated yoga postures will act upon these energetic channels, powering them up with the breath, to maximise the effect of the āsana (yoga posture)
The session will leave you feeling simultaneously calm and energised.

Yoga mats are not strictly necessary, but you may like to bring your own; otherwise, a towel or blanket for when we sit on the floor will suffice.
Whatever you're comfortable in and can move freely in will suffice.
Always take care to stay within your own personal realm of ability. NEVER push or try to force yourself into a posture as this is when you are most likely to hurt yourself. PLEASE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN BODY. It really isn’t important if you can ‘get into the position’ or not, it’s HOW YOU PRACTICE that counts.
As a rough guide consider this: if you are struggling to breathe properly, you are not practising properly.
As with all yoga practice, refrain from eating for at least 1 ½ - 2 hours beforehand, Depending on your digestion, it might be helpful to leave even longer; listen to your body.
The cricket pitch is accessed from Dropping Lane, close to St.Mary's Church. In the event of rain, the class will take place under cover of the pavilion. What3Words for the parking location: Sideburns.Spooked.Ladder
