Who’s it for?
The first course of 2026 will start with diaphragm release & breathwork practices, before moving onto a sequence of fluid movements that increase external mobility and internal flow.
The course is for anyone who enjoys both yoga and qigong/tai chi, or who is interested in developing a more energetic/subtle physical practice.
Why do it?
The diaphragm is THE breathing muscle, but it can become dysfunctional due to stress or trauma. The simple exercises taught in the class can be practised easily at home and can offer profound results.
The flowing movements and stances gently unfold the life-force held within the tissues of the body, so that when āsana (yoga postures) or meditation is practised, one's energy, blood and fluids move freely, bringing greater health and vitality…and because it feels good!

Whatever you're comfortable in and can move freely in will suffice.
Yes. The classes are held in a hired space and yoga mats won't be provided.
NOTE: If you are buying your first mat for the occasion, please be advised - check you are buying a yoga mat and not a pilates mat. The latter tend to be thick, spongy and stretchy, which is not ideal for yoga stances.
Props are not provided at the venue.
They are not essential for this workshop, but some people may like to bring something to place under their heels if they find squatting positions difficult, such as a towel or blanket that can be folded.
